本课为所在单元课文的第一课时，核心单词为

autumn, winter, cool, cold，学生在一年级时已学习过spring，summer, warm, hot四个单词以及简单句型描述季节特征。本课教师将通过欣赏动画儿歌来引出主题—The four seasons, 并运用图片和提问的方式来引出一年级所学内容进行复习，再进行新授词汇的教学，并运用书本儿歌的操练来加强巩固所学内容。然后运用已学句型What can you do in…?来引出四季可以进行的活动，帮助学生积累所学的动词和动词词组，同时引出swim in the water和skate on the ice这两个新授词组进行教学，最后运用所学内容完成Do a survey的任务，为下一课时做好准备。
