4.Teaching Steps:

Step1: Warm up & lead-in. 1. Enjoy a song “What do you want to do?”

Teacher: Free talk: Tell students the good news that we are going to have Parents’ Day next week. Then lead in the new lesson.

T: Show the picture of “Parents’ Day”, and ask “Who are going to have Parents’ Day? What are they talking about?”

Ss: Sarah and Oliver.

Ss: They are talking about...

Teacher shows four questions about the “Let’s talk”

and let Ss to answer the questions after listening the dialogue. Then check the answers together.

3. Teacher analyzes the “Let’s talk” in detail.

Step 3：Practice 1. Teacher leads Ss to practice the dialogue and act it out in group.

E.g.: Role reading/Whole class reading/Personal reading/Role play…

Step 4：Consolidation and expand education 1. Teacher leads the Ss ask and answer by using the key sentences: -- What does he do? He is a/an...

2. Teacher leads Ss to discuss “What do you want to be in the future?” Then finish the exercise

paper in group by using the key words and key sentences.

3. Boys and girls, no matter what you really want to be, please remember try your best for your ideal career. You will be successful!

4. Ask some students to sum up what had we learn today, and then prize the winner groups. Step5: Homework:

1. Listen to the tape and practice more, then act out the dialogue with your partners after class.

2. Finish the exercise book 1 P39.
