一、Teaching aims and demands: 1.

Knowledge aims: It requires Ss to master the words: “horse, sheep, goat, cow, lamb, hen” and the usage of the plural forms of the animals and to use the structure: “What are they? They are…”freely in the situation.

Ability aims: It’s to develop Ss’ basic ability of listening and speaking and to use “What are they? They are…” in the situation.

Emotion aims: It is to excite their study motivation. Help them establish good study habit, and to train the Ss’ sense of loving animals and loving life, and to protect the animals. 二、Teaching importance:

Enable Ss to master the words: horses, sheep, goats, cows, lambs, hens, and to grasp “What are they?

They are…”in the real situation. 三、Teaching difficulty:

It is the pronunciation of plural form of animals. 四、Procedures:

Greeting and Warming-up Greetings: T: I am Miss Chu. I am your new teacher. Nice to meet you.

How many boys are there in your class?

How many girls? How many teachers can you see?

What’s the weather like today? (It’s nice.)

（二）

Presentation

1. T: I’ll take you to a place. Guess what is it?

(Farm)

It’s the Old Macdonald’s farm.

Sing a song. 《Old Macdonald》

Ask and answer. What animals are at this Old Macdonald’s farm? What animals do you know?

(Ducks -quack, pigs -oink, dogs - bow, and cows -moo) 4.

Now let’s go to this farm to have a visit.

Teach the new words one by one and plural forms of animals. (Horse----cow---- hen ---- lamb---- goat----sheep) Ask the students: “What is it?”, “Is this a …?” And “What are they?”

Oh, there are so many animals at the farm. Let’s go to ask the Old Macdonald.

B Can you ride a horse? C Can you milk a cow? D Can you shear a sheep? E Can you hold a lamb?”

Look! I am this farmer (I am wearing the old farmer’s hat.) I do the action and ask the students. 2. Let’s do along with the music. 3. Train the student’s sense of loving animals and protecting the animals.
