1. Ss can read and understand the story. 2. Ss can listen, read and understand the words and phrases: hungry, full, lunch room 3. Ss can listen, read and understand the sentences：How beautiful! & I like .... 4.Ss can read the story in correct pronunciation and intonation and act the story out. 5.Ss can love their school and know about the rooms in the school. 6.Improve Ss’ thinking quality by questions, pictures and discussion.

Step 1 Greeting &Warm-up

1. Greeting T: Hello, boys and girls, welcome back to school. I’m very happy to come back to

school again. Are you happy too? S: Yes.

T:Do you love your school?

S: Yes.

2. Play a game (Sharp eyes) T: First, let’s play a game. Please read the words and phrases as quickly as you can.

OK? S: OK!

The words and phrases are:computer room, library, music room, teachers’

office,beautiful, etc.

【设计意图：复习回顾第一单元所学过的主要内容，以游戏的形式带动学生在课堂开始时的学习热情，也为下一步学习进行铺垫。】

Step 2 Presentation 1.

Teach “How beautiful!”& “I like storybooks.”

After Ss read the word, beautiful, T says: There are many flowers. How beautiful! The sentences can help Ss understand the meaning of the sentences.

Then show the sentences: This is our school. How beautiful!

T: I like storybooks. Do you like storybooks? Do you like apples? Ss: Yes./No..... Invite some Ss to say “ I like ....”

2. Teach “ I’m hungry!”& “It is time for lunch.” & “I’m full.”

T: Show a picture of “ I’m hungry.”. Ask Ss to do actions to show “I’m hungry!”. T: I’m hungry. What time is it? Guide Ss to say” It’s 12:30.(Show a picture of time.) T: It’s time for lunch.(Show “under, cut, duck, teacher, match, much”

to help Ss know the sound of “u” and “ch”.) Guide Ss to read together: It’s time for lunch. T: Let’s go to the lunch room. This is a lunch room. (Group practice) T:After lunch, I’m full!(Do actions.) u, /u/ /ful/

Step 3 Story time 1. Look and answer (PPT出示课文图片，教师带领学生观察图片并展开讨论) T: Look at this picture. Who are they?

S: They are Zoom, Zip, Hippo, Monkey, and Rabbit . 2. Watch and answer T: How many rooms are there in the story?

Let’s watch the cartoon. (播放课文动画，然后让学生回答) 3. Read and underline

T: Next, please open your book and turn to page 11. There are 5 rooms in the story. What are they? Please read the story and underline the rooms.

S: The library, music room, gym, lunch room, and teachers’ office. T: Pay attention to Picture 5. Is that the computer room? S: No.

4. Read, think and discuss T: Where is Zoom? (学生读课文，分组讨论问题) 【设计意图：引导学生理解课文中的细节信息。】

5. Read the story a. Listen and repeat. (听录音，重复句子后跟读课文，鼓励学生模仿录音中的语音语调) b. Read after the teacher.

c. Read together. 【设计意图：通过精读课文句子，模仿语音语调，理解文中人物的心理与情感变化，引导学生进一步理解掌握课文中的句子和词汇。】

Step 4 Consolidation 1. Act the story T: You really did a good job in Story time. It’s show time for you. Can you act the story? Prepare it in groups of5 people. Then come to the blackboard and act it out.
