Part 1

The teaching material 1.

About the text book

This is the 1st period of lesson 8 in English Rhyme 2, What a lot of fish!

It deals with 2 sentences: What a lot of fish in the pond !

One fish, two fish, red fish, yellow fish, black fish, blue fish, old fish ,new fish. 2. About the students

Our students are from Grade 1. They are very active and very interested in acting.

3. About the teaching aims

①Aims on the knowledge

A: Ss can learn the new words: fish, pond, red, yellow, black, blue, old, new etc.

B: Understand the main idea of the rhyme;

C : And master the actions of the whole rhyme.

②Aims on the ability

A: To develop Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking.

B: Enable Ss to know how to work in groups

③ Aims on the emotion

A: To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation.

B: To help the students to build confidence and interest in learning English. 4. About the key and difficult points

① Ss can say and the 2 sentences.

② To make sure that Ss can say “fish” and “black”

“a lot of”

“new fish, old fish”correctly.

③ To help Ss do the rhyme vividly.

Part 2

The teaching methods 1. The “task-based” teaching method is the way to make the learners finish all kinds of task through using languages. 2. Situational approach can provide a real situation for Ss to understand the dialogues.

Part 3

Teaching procedures and purposes of the design

Step 1.

Warming up

1. Divide the whole class into 4 teams to have a competition. 2. Free talk between T and Ss

T: Hello,boys and girls. How are you ?

Ss: Fine, thank you. T: What’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s _________. T: What day is it today? Ss: It’s_______. 3.

After greeting with Ss, I will begin the lesson with the rhymes "Clap, clap, clap your hands/ A Circle".

Step 2.

Deal with the rhyme

. Introduce the topic

Let’s play a game. Are you ready?

Have Ss look at the picture of a fish and ask:“ Can you guess?”

Ss: A circle.

T: Really? Let’s look? What’s this? Ss: Fish T: Listen to me 3 times. f-i-sh

T; what color is this fish? Ss: blue fish T: Yes, very good. The blue fish is very old.(教师做夸张的老人动作) so , this is an old fish. Follow me old fish Ss: old fish T;old fish (大小声音的游戏) T:And this is a new fish.(教师不说,让学生说) Follow me: new fish T: let’s read five times.

Step4: T:教师指着黑板,ok,boys and girls. There are a lot of fish? Can you guess? Where are they? T: Are they in the classroom?

Are they in the park? (in your desk/ on your head) (带着鱼来问,学生看得更明白些) T: Where are they? 通过引导,让学生自己猜。In the water. In the river. In the pond. 猜到了就直接教授pond,没有猜到的话,就听语音。

T: ok, Let’s listen. Where are they? Ss: In the pond

Deal with the rhyme T; Let’s listen again. T/ Ss; Listen and do actions. T: Can you? Ss: Yes. T: Let’s say the rhyme together.

Review the rhyme all together.

1. Follow T to say and do it.

3. Play a high&low voices game to practice the ryhme.
