一、教学目标：

1.会听、说、读Look and learn栏目的核心词汇。

2.学习如何介绍发明及其功能。

3.通过学习，培养学生热爱科学探索的精神。

二、教学重点、难点：

重点：

词汇

（camera,watch,invention,invent,anywhere,travel,myself）

句型（People can tell the time anywhere.---What are you going to invent?---I’m going to invent a flying kite!）

难点：用英语介绍发明及其功能。

三、教学过程：

Pre-task preparations 1.Greetings. 2.Listen and enjoy.(播放课本Listen and enjoy视频) 3.PPT出示中国古代的四大发明,谈话导入，再板书课题---Great inventions.最后领读课题，教学单词invention. While-task procedures 1.Think and guess. 出示谜语，让学生猜，接着教授camera,watch两个单词,tell the time anywhere,write on it,travel from one place to another very fast几个词组，最后引导学生说出句子The camera is a great invention.People can take photos with it. 2.Think and say. T:Do you know other great inventions in the world?

学生自由说一说自己了解的发明及其用处。（PPT出示一些发明的图片。）

3.Listen and think.

听录音，整体感知课文内容。听完回答问题：What are they talking about? 4.Listen and complete. 再次播放录音，让学生听音，先在文中圈出答案，再小组合作填写表格。接着，PPT出示正确答案，全班核对答案。最后，师生问答，引导学生思考Joe是怎样想的。

T:Joe wants to invent a flying bike.He's a inventor.Do you want to be a little inventor?What are you going to invent? 5.Think and say. 让学生跟同桌说说自己打算发明什么，以及它的功能。

S1:What are you going to invent? S2:I’m going to invent …

People can... 6.Listen and follow. 让学生观看Listen and say视频，并逐句跟读。

7.Read and recite. 让学生自己朗读课文，再填空复述课文内容。
