Unit12 The giant’s garden
教学目标:
通过看图说话活动,帮助学生初步了解故事的人物、背景和故事大意,并学习生词,激发学生的阅读兴趣,并懂得分享的乐趣。
重点难点:
1、能掌握单词:bring, kind,visit , no entry
2、会运用句型
She brings beautiful flowers and birds,but she does not bring any to the giant’s garden .
He’s not kind to children.
教学过程:
一、Pre-task preparations
First,let’s review picture1-3.
It tells:the giant does not like the children playing in his garden,he is very angry.He builds a tall wall around his garden.
二、While-task procedures:
1、Now, let’s begin.Please look at picture 4-6.
2、大家都知道一年有四季,春spring、夏summer、秋autumn、冬winter,幻灯片展示四季图片。
3、强调春姑娘的图片。
In spring,the lady in green is Miss Spring,she is coming. She brings beautiful flowers and birds,but she does not bring any to the giant’s garden .
4、bring:带来
do not bring:没有带来。
5、接着问学生问题,引入本单元的故事教学。
回答问题:Why does Miss Spring not bring any flowers and birds to the giant’s garden?
Answer:Because the giant is not kind to children,and there’s a sign on the wall:No entry!
So Miss Spring ,Miss Summer and Miss Autumn do not visit the giant,it is always winter in the giant’s garden.
And ,the giant looks at his garden and feels sad.His garden is cold.
6:Look at the point:
visit+人:拜访某人
visit+地点:参观某地
三、Conclusion :
What do you learn from the story?
Answer:The roses in her hand, the flavour in mine. 赠人玫瑰,手留余香。
A single flower does not make a spring.
一花独放不是春,百花齐放春满园。四、Homework
