Step 1 Warmer

Daily greeting

T: Hello, children.

Ss: Hi, Miss Mao.

T: How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you.

T: I’m so happy today. Can you guess why?

Ss: Because...

T: Because just now I played table tennes. I like playing table tennis. Do you like playing table tennis?

Ss: Yes./No.

T: I think everyone has his own hobby. Could you write your name and your hobby in a piece of paper. And give it to me.

Step 2 Presentation

1. T: Today, Lingling is very happy, too. Because she received a letter from her friend Daming. Daming sended many photos for her. And Daming want to know Lingling’s frends’ life. So, Lingling is worrying about it. Because she doesn’t know how to write to Daming. Children, could you help her?

Ss: Yes.

T: First, let’s look at Daming’s letter.

What’s in Daming’s photos? Oh, Let’s look.

T:How many persons are there in the picture? Who are they?

Ss: There are 3 persons in the picture. They are Daming, Simon and Simon’s mother. T: And what else?

Ss: There are some birds and ducks.

T: What are the birds doing?

S1: (他们在唱歌)

T: Yes, the birds are singing in the trees.(教师注意教singing中划线部分的发音。)And the sun is shining.(教新单词shine)

(把大明所写的文字说明展示出来,请学生勾出带ing的单词。)

The birds are singing in the trees.板书出来并说明中文意思。

教师请学生总结归纳出这三个句子的一个共同点:即be(am/is/are)+-ing结构表示正在发生的事情。提醒学生如果要表达正在进行某个动作,就得在动作的单词后面加个小尾巴ing.

2. 教师引导学生自己学习第二幅图和第三幅图的内容。

Game 1: Listening game

老师展示三个声音文件,请学生点出第一个,播放录音如下:Hello, I’m Yao Ming. Guess, What am I doing? 播放姚明拍篮球的声音。

Ss: Yao Ming is playing football.

第二个声音文件:Hello, I’m Zhang Yining. Guess, What am I doing?

Ss: Zhang Yining is playing table tennis.

第三个声音文件:Hi, my name’s Lang Lang. Guess, What am I doing?

Ss: Lang Lang is playing the piano.1.

Game 2:Guess and make sentences

从warmer环节中老师收上来的纸条中选出一名同学所写的,请他自己做上面的动作。其他的同学用英语说出来,再连成一句话。如Zhang Hua is playing table tennis.

Step 4 Consolidation

将这活动3的内容放在这样一个有竞争的氛围中完成,学生的兴趣高涨,每个组的队员都积极的投入到任务的完成中。

Step 5 Extension

T: This week, we had a sports meeting. Everyone was very happy. I took so many photos for you. Look at the screen, I divide the photos into 3 parts. Each group choose one part and give each photo a description. At last send an email to Daming in groups.
