一、设计思路

在新课程理念的指导下,我们教师应该结合学生的学情创设更适合学生的课堂教学环境、采用更多样化的教学方法,使课堂教学单位时间内的教学效率大大提高。从而实现教学有效性的最大化! 二、教学过程

Step I warming up

1.Sing a songtogether.

Step II Revision

1.Teacher show some pictures of places and say:

Wow, so many pictures of places. Let’s read the words together: Science museum post office bookstore cinema hospital Park zoo school home

【设计意图】教师通过复习有关地点的单词,帮助学生更好的运用本单元的功能句型解决“如何到达…”。同时在展示地点的单词时,教师有意识的渗透句型:So many pictures of …为文中So many pictures of bikes .做好教学铺垫。

2.Review the words of transportation :

On foot by bus by plane by taxi

by subway by train by ship

Make a dice with : on foot by bike by bus

By subway by taxi by train .

On foot: one step by bike: two steps by bus : three steps

By subway: four steps by taxi: five steps by train: six steps 【设计意图】将在陆地上能够用到的出行方式分别写在骰子的六个平面上。并根据出行方式的快慢对应相应走的步数,以便导入部分运用骰子进行飞行棋游戏的情境教学。

Step III Presentation

1.Teacher show a picture of flying chess and ask “How can I get to the Fuxing Hospital?”Teacher choose one student from each group to play the dice, the one who first reach the hospital will be the winner. School bookstore post office traffic lights

【设计意图】呆板的教学模式是学生学习英语的不利因素。通过游戏飞行棋与课文怎样到达复兴医院相结合,不仅创设出生动有趣的教学情境,更进一步复习出行方式的表达。同时飞行棋中根据课文需要设置的红绿灯也为课中红绿灯交通规则的讲述进行了铺垫!在教学结束后,教师还可运用飞行棋地图进行复习,将第一单元中如何到达某地的表达进行进一步的拓展。一体多用,事半功倍!

2.When the students play the dice to “by bike”, Teacher show a helmet and say: In the USA people on bikes must wear one. Then put the helmet on the student’s head. Then ask the students to follow and practice.

【设计意图】生硬的导入不仅不利于学生理解文本的意义,更有可能降低学生的学习兴趣。利用学生掷骰子到“by bike ”的教学情境自然而然的导入helmet,从而进一步导入In the USA people on bikes must wear one.使得语言在游戏中获得了生动的诠释。

3.When the students play the dice to the red light. Teacher can bring out : Don’t go at the red light. Then ask the students to follow and practice. At last ,tell the students : You must pay attention to the traffic lights .Then drill the sentences.

【设计意图】:在合适的地点和路口设置红绿灯不仅符合飞行棋的游戏设置,更为课文中两个重点句型:“must”和“don’t”的导入提供了合理的情境。便于学生理解这两个句型的意义和用法。

4.Teacher tell the students: Wherever we go ,we must know and obey the

traffic rules.

5 .Brain storm: What traffic rules do you know? Ask the students to discuss the traffic rules with the sentence pattern: “must”and“don’t”. 【设计意图】:导入只是课堂教学的一部分,教学的重中之重还应该放在如何引导学生自学和运用所学语言知识。同时还要与实际生活相联系,在实践中运用所学语言知识。

6.Open the book to page 16 and follow the tape.

Step IV: Consolidation

1.Look at the traffic signs on page16 and practice :

1>You must look right before you cross the road. You can see this on the road in Hong Kong .

2> Don’t touch the door. You can see this in the subway.

2.Change the scene to the library , and practice:

1>You must keep your desk clean.

2>Don’t eat in the library.

3> Don’t talk loudly in the library.

【设计意图】:拓展部分不仅要教授学生其他地方的交通规则,也可以复习五年级在读书馆的行为准则。从而活学活用重点句型:“must”and“don’t”。
