Unit Two Some stories are more interesting Period 1 教材分析 本单元主要让学生学会用比较级来对两方进行比较。

学情分析 从学生的目前状况来看，学生对比较级的用法有一点接触，但是这个语法点有一定的难度。教师要多创设情景，让学生多加练习，熟练掌握其用法。

Step 1 Happy warming-up 1.

Greeting. T: How are you? Ss: I’m fine, thank you. T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s sunny. ... 2. Free talk. 3. Sing an English song. Step 2 Happy presentation

1.T: T shows the picture of a piece meat, teach the new phrase: a piece meat. piece /pi:s/ a small part, e.g. : a piece of bread ,a piece of paper, a piece of meat, a piece of beef, a piece of mutton. Write it on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher.

2. Teach the new word: better good-better-best Write it on the blackboard, the Ss read after the teacher. 3.Teach the word “drop” in the same way.

4. T shows some pictures. Let the Ss make some sentences with the new words. S1: I like English better than maths. S2: The dog took a piece of meat and ran away.... Step 3. Happy practice 1. Listen to the tape and repeat . 2. T shows the pictures and Ss say the words. 3. T shows the pictures quickly and Ss say the words together.

4. A game—guess，guess，guess.

T: Let's play a game, OK?

S: OK.

T: Please watch carefully, I will make some gestures, and you should guess what I am doing , please guess quickly and correctly, are you ready?

Lead-in. T : Do you like listening to stories? Ss: Yes. T: Today we are going to learn an interesting story, it’s about a dog and textbook, tape, tape-recorder, word cards, CAI

Close the books. The Ss listen and try to answer the question. 3.

Open the books, the Ss listen again, circle the answer. 4.
