OurEarth looks like this in space. 第1课时教学设计

一、教学目标

(一) 应用目标

1. 能理解并掌握“look like ...”的含义及用法。

2. 能通过图示了解有关太空的知识以及地球在太空中的形状和基本特征。

3. 能听懂、会说A部分的对话。

二、教学重、难点

1. 重点：能用“Our Earth looks like this in space.”和“The Earth is like a ball.”描述某物看起来像什么。

2. 难点：

(1) 动词过去式变化的规则，尤其是部分单词的不规则变化，如go-went。

(2) 用已有的科学知识讨论和描述太空和地球的特征。

Step 1 热身（Warm-up）

1. Greetings. T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you. Ss: Nice to meet you, too. T: Let’s sing a song together, OK?

Ss: OK. Sing a song The more we get-together. Step 2 新课呈现（Presentation) 1.

情境创设：使用PPT出示一张春季郊游的图片

T: What season is it? Ss: It’s spring.

T: What’s the weather like?

Ss: It’s warm and nice.

T:Do you like school outing? Ss: Yes, we do. 2. New words (1) 教师出示太阳、月亮和星星的图片，学习。

T: What is this? Ss: The sun.

The moon. （教师板书the sun, the moon并且带读。）

T: What are those? Ss: They’re stars. （教师板书stars并且带读。）

T: Look at the sun! It’s brightly! What does the sun look like?（课件展示图片，凸显让学生展开想象力。）

Ss: The sun looks like a fireball . T: Look at the sun! It’s beautiful! What does the moon look like? Ss: The moon looks like a boat. T: Look at the stars! They’re beautiful! What do the stars look like? Ss: The stars look like diamonds. （教师板书look like,fireball, boat, diamonds并且带读。）

接着出示的图片

T: What is this?

Ss: Land. / River. （教师板书land , river并且带读。）

T: Look at the river.

What does the river look like? Ss: The river looks like a snake. T: What are those? Ss: They’re animals. T: Do you like animals ? Ss: Yes, I do. T: What are those? 2/ 4

Ss: They’re plants, T: What is this? Ss: The Earth. （教师板书animals, plants, the Earth并且带读。）

T: Look at the Earth !

What does the Earth look like ? Ss: The Earth looks like a ball.

T: Can you talk about the Earth ? Ss: The Earth looks like a ball. Animals and plants can live on it. The Earth looks beautiful. 出示的图片

T: Who are they ? Ss: They’re Peter and his mother. T: Where did they go last Sunday ? Ss: They went to the Space Museum. T: What did they do at the Space Museum ? Ss:They watched a film about the Earth. （教师板书Space Museum , watched a film并且带读。）

老师说明一下：在自然界中独一无二的事物前要加定冠词the. 2.

The dialogue 课文学习：教师可分步骤先进行初步感知，再进一步理解、熟读、掌握课文，循序渐进地引导学生熟悉课文。

第一步：不打开书，看PPT ，

读句子译中午，学习句子中难点单词。

第二步：复习动词过去式的变化。

第三步：请学生打开书，看到文本中有三幅插图。快速阅读A部分课文，在描述插图的语句下画横线。

描述第一幅插图的语句：They watched a film about the Earth.这里描述电影的内容是关于地球的。

描述第二幅插图的语句：Our Earth looks like this in space. You can see the sea and the land.这里描述从太空上看地球的形状。（学习词组look like。）

描述第二幅插图的语句：The next day, he went to the library to look for books on space.

第四步：听音、跟读，引导学生正确模仿，提醒学生注意语音、语调。

第五步：学生用心听一遍录音。

第六步：老师学生互动，老师和学生轮流读句子。看谁读得最好。

第七步：学生齐读课文。

第八步：根据课文内容，完成表格。

1. 教师提供Peter的活动情况表格，带领学生一起回忆课文内容。然后让学生根据表格中的关键词和三幅插图，四人一组复述课文。

2. 教师对学生的复述做出评价，给予肯定与鼓励，培养学生对语篇的概括与复述能力。

Step 4 作业布置（Homework）

1.读和背诵课文A部分。

2. 抄写B部分的新单词。
