How to use the present continuous tense correctly. Teaching processes: Step 1 1. Greet the whole class as usual. 2. Check the homework. 3.Tell them what we will learn in this English class. 4. Show some pictures and let them talk about what are the people doing . He is swimming now. She is reading a book. They are watching TV now. 5. Let students sum up the structure S.+be【am/is/are】+ v-ing. 6.Tell students that is the present continuous tense. We often use it to describe something is happening now. Step 2 Presentation 1. Learning the usage of the present continuous tense. (now , look ,listen, at the moment) 2. Explain the usage and give some examples. 3. Group work Guide students to pay attention to the ing from of verb. Give them as many verbs as I can.

以不发音e结尾的，去e加-ing.

以辅元辅结尾的重读闭音节词，双写最后一个辅音字母加-ing. 变

Step 3 Pratice 1. Let’s make sentences by using the structure of 主语+be+v-ing. I am swimming.（act and guide students to say） She is reading now. He is playing football now. He is swimming now. He is running now. He is dancing. He is talking now. Listen！ The bird is singing. They are watching TV now. 2. Give a comparison of two pictures and guide students to say how to turn a positive sentence including be into a negative sentence. Then make sentences. I’m not swimming. We aren’t having a class. She isn’t reading. He isn’t playing football. They arent watching TV. 3. Play a guessing game and let students guess what they are doing. Make sentences by using Is he/she....？ Are they....？

For example：

以ie结尾的，把-ie

S1：Is he eating？ T： No,he isn’t. S2：Is he dancing？ T： No he isn’t If the student’s answer is wrong, I will tell he/she “No,he/she

isn’t.” Others should guess again. Any body who makes a sentence will get l point. If his/her answer is right, I will tell he/she Yes, he/she is. Then she/he will get 2 points.
