神舟五号载人飞船是“神舟”号系列飞船中的第五艘，是中国首次发射的载人航天飞行器。它于2003年10月15日9时发射，将航天员杨利伟送入太空，标志着中国成为继前苏联（现称俄罗斯）和美国之后，第三个有能力自行将人送上太空的国家。搭载物品：

除了中国飞天第一人杨利伟外，“神舟”五号载人飞船返回舱内还搭载有一面具有特殊意义的中国国旗、一面北京2008年奥运会会徽旗、一面联合国国旗、人民币主币票样、中国首次载人航天飞行纪念邮票、

中国载人航天工程纪念封和来自祖国宝岛台湾的农作物种子等。“神舟”五号飞船是在无人飞船的基础上研制的中国第1艘载人飞船,乘有1名航天员---杨利伟。飞船在轨道运行了1天。整个飞行期间为航天员提供必要的生活和工作条件，同时将航天员的生理数据、电视图像发送地面，并确保航天员安全返回。
