1. 运用表示顺序的副词更加清楚地进行表述。

2. 运用表示顺序的副词对事情的过程进行描述时，注意语调的前升后降。

V. Teaching procedure Step1:Review 1. Get the students ready for learning.

2. The teacher lets the students watch a short moive about how to make sandwiches. 3. The teacher asks the students to answer “What can you see in the movie?”

4. The teacher lets the students look at some pictures about sandwiches and tell the name “sandwich”. Show the new word “snack”, Sandwich is a kind of snack. Step 2:Presentation 1.The teacher asks the students to tell something more about sandwiches. 2.Five boys put on a short play about the origin of sandwiches. 3.T:Now we know so much about sandwiches .The sandwiches make us hungry. Let’s learn how to make sandwiches ? S:Ok. T:But before making the sandwiches we must prepare some ingredients. Let’s learn some new words about them . 4. Teach piece with a piece of bread. Teach butter and pear by showing pictures of them.

Step 3:Consolidation 1. The teacher lets students listen to the dialog of 1a and guess: What’s Michael’s

favorite food? 2. The teacher plays the recording sentence by sentence and lets the students fill in the blanks of 1b. 3. The teacher plays the recording without stopping. Let students listen and check their answers. 4. The students read the dialog by following the tape, then answer the questions.“Who did well?”“Who did better?”“ Who did best of all?”

5.Retell the procedure of making a sandwich with butter, honey and a pear. Step 4:Practice 1. The teacher asks the students to read 1a again and prepare to make the sandwich by themselves, using the things the teacher prepared. 2. The teacher lets two or three students preform how to make the sandwich. One student tells the process of making it, using First…

Second… Then… Finally… And the other student makes it as what his or her partner describes. 3. The teacher evaluates the sandwiches which the students did by themselves and encourages them with the following structures: Well down! A did quite well, but B did better than A. C did the best of all.
