1.Textbook：开心英语三年级上册第三单元第一课时

2.Objects：1).Knowledge objects: To command the basic vocabularies (animals,an elephant,a panda,a monkey ,a lion,a tiger,a rabbit),spell them correctly.Know how to call those animals in English in our daily life 2).Method and process: let Ss command the method of studying. 3).Emotional objects: promote their loves for animals 3.Important and difficult points:

1).The pronunciation and spelling of these new vocabularies 2).The new sentence pattern”Is it a ...?” and its answer. 4.Teaching aids: blackboard ,cards , PowerPoint and Text recording 5.Teaching procedures: Step 1: Introduction

Gaming time: Teacher imitate animals to arouse students’ interests. At the same time, ask them with the question “What’s this?” to review the sentence pattern we learned in last unit. Also , students will get the basic impression of these new words. Step 2: presentation

With the help of cards and PPT, I will show the words to them. At first, I will show the correct spelling and pronunciation for them one by one. I will ask them to copy them down their own notebooks in correct form. Step 3: practice 1)

whole-class drill : read and spell words together. Then ,choose the right answer of these English words. 2)

Pair work: 2 students in a pair, practice with the sentence pattern“what’s is...? It’s a/an...”and “Is this a/an...?” Yes,it is./No,it isn’t.”

Step 4: consolidation 1) Game : the whole class answer in English when the slide showing pictures. 2) Ask some students (in different level）to read or to answer my questions. 3)Read and spell the words again. Step 5: spiritual enhancement Animals are cute, teacher hope them to protect and love animals. Step 6: homework Write down these words on their note book (5 English words and 2 Chinese meaning) Read and recite them after class.
