Step 1 Warming up 1.

Present the topic (1)

Write down the topic on the blackboard: Unit 3 Easter Eggs Part A (2)

Tell students the meaning of Easter. Step 2 Presentation

1.

(1) Show some festivals on the screen.

(2) Show a calendar to lead to Easter gradually. 2.

(1) Explain the history of Easter and Easter eggs.

(2) Show pictures of colorful Easter eggs. (3) Present an Easter egg and some Easter eggs to show the difference between them. 3.

T: Easter eggs are beautiful, now let’s learn the new text. T plays the video of the text twice, and Ss listen carefully.

(1) Show a question on the screen, for students to answer after listening to the video for the third time. What is Sally’s mother going to do on Easter? A: Sing a song. B: Make some Easter eggs. C: Color the eggs. D: Hide the eggs.

(2) Ask students to answer together.

4. (1) Write down three important phrases that appear in the text on the blackboard: make the eggs, color the eggs and hide the eggs. (2) Teach the phrases above. Read them aloud after T. Learn the word color. Color means 颜色

and给…上颜色.

Learn the phrase color the eggs and hide the eggs with the help of

pictures on the screen. Learn the sentences: I’m going to color the eggs and I’m going to hide the eggs. Read them aloud after T. (3)

Explain the text to the students. Read the text after T. Step 3 Consolidation
