1.By using courseware, cards and playing games, students can listen , read and say the five words: young, old, beautiful, thin, clever.

2.Through watching video, making sentences, asking and answering practice, students can understand and use the sentences “Is she tall？”

3.Through listening，reading , role play and making dialogues , students can listen , read and act out the dialogues , talk about their friends, and get to know how to describe characteristics of others and encourage students to make more friends.

1）I’m your new English teacher, my name is Cynthia, you can call me Cindy. Do you want to be my friend? (通过介绍自己为下一步介绍人物做好铺垫。) 2. Introduce Helen to the students.
