Good afternoon,everyone,I am Wu Tingting from Zhuzhou 601 Chinese English primary school. It `s my great pleasure to stand here. my topic is in a nature park. I’ll focus on three key words to express my teaching design. the key words are what, how and why.
First, let me talk about what. What means what i`m going to teach today. Look ,this is my teaching materials, it is period 2 of part B ,let`s learn,from unit6 book6. the part of this lesson mainly talks about nature park. At the same time, students’ ability of listening, speaking and communicating with others will be improved.
In period 1,Students from grade 5 have learned some words about nature park,such as hill,river,forest,lake and mountain,
And They can use simple sentence there is.and they are at the age of 10 to 12,so,challenges and games can attract them a lot.As a teacher, I will provide them more chances for them to learn English quickly and practice more.
Now let me come to the teaching aims and methods. Language ability, to make sure that students can read , recognize and use these new words : village
house
building
bridge
tree. Thinking quality, To improve students’ listening and speaking
And
train students’ logical thinking .
Learning ability ,Students are interested in learning English and can use basic skills, such as listening, imitating and guessing.

Cultural character, to educate students in good manners in pubic and educate students care for the environment in daily life.
As for the key points, students can master the pronunciation and the meaning of the new words and some sentences pattern there are. Are there…?
the difficult point is to use the target language to describe nature park correctly and flently.
In order to solve this problems, I will use TPR and the Task-based teaching approach, interactive whiteboard and video resources. students will learn English in groups by exercising.
Here comes to the second key word “how”. How means How to teach? How can I help the students learn and grasp the target
knowledge?This is the most important part. I think it over and devided my teaching procedures into 5 parts. Step 1 Review,Step 2 Overview,Step 3 Presentation,Step 4 Engagement,Step5 Summary.
Step 1 Review In this step, first I will greet my students and let them listen to a popular song (播放音乐)They’re
all familiar with it, it’s
“Papa ,where are we going now”,They all love it. I believe that students will be very excited to see their favourite movie.in this way to arouse their interests and learn the new lesson. I’ll

encourage the kids to guess where papas are. In this way to lead in the title ‘In a nature park’ and today’s task.
Step 2 Overview
I’ll tell them that children and fathers are in a nature park today, so our task today is to look for father in the nature park! The purpose is to create a better English learning surrounding for the students .
Step 3 Presentation 3.1. look and say
First, let see What’s in the nature park?
There is a forest
There are flowers. From this picture ,Ss can review the words they have learned from part A,for example forest hill river lake mountain. And also,they can begin to learn the new word village,i will show another picture and tell them,”There is also a village in the nature park.”oliver and wu yifan are in the village,too. How about other new words,then, i`d like students to see What’s in the village?
There are trees, There are houses. I will use the same way to teach the other new words. Here I will use the phonics to teach house,so students can spell other new words by themselves.

3.2.game:magic eyes After teaching these words, We will play a game to practice the words .that is Magic eyes. In this way, my students can learn these words more directly and more vividly and they will have a good preparation for looking for their father. 3.3 Pair work It’s time for them to chat with their father and find their father. first,I’ll show them an example. Look, Cindy is getting in touch with father on wechat. She is chatting with her father, by asking and answering, Finally Cindy find her father . Cindy said on wechat
”i am happy,i find my father”.
So the other friends get worried and say :”where is my father?”
Now let`s have a pair work to help them,One student acts as father,and he first choose one place that he want to hide, the other student acts as the child, he can use the sentence “Are there any....”or”Is there ...”to ask father.
Then,i will Let Ss Present it and describe it. The purpose is to consolidate the knowledge by practicing and get Ss think in English. 3.4. Listen and write Cindy is very excited,so she write something on the wechat. let`s listen and fill in the blank. They are the key words in the passage. The purpose is to train Ss` memorizing and get a brief understanding of how to describe things in nature park.

Step 4
Engagement
After finding their fathers, the children are very happy, let`s help other children to finish their wechat in the paper. The purpose is to inspire students to go deeply in their thinking and imagination. Students will like this way to express their thought,in this way, I hope to get students product by using the target language freely and get the sense of achievement and have fun in English.
Step5 Summary 5.1 Task fulfillment Share their works. 5.2Make a summary In a word, the whole period is designed from easy steps to challenging steps, As we know, students are the center in our lesson, I will try to provide more chances for students to take part in our lesson . Letting students summarize the class is a point in this case .
At the end of class,I invite one of students to be “a little teacher” to summarize what we have learned today, and tell them that we should love the nature and try to protect everything in the nature..
5.3 homework Then, I will give my students homework, that is to draw a nature park and describe it. This can consolidate what we have learned in the lesson.

As for the third key word, why? Why means Why I design like this.,first great effects are taken to teach in real situations in my class .looking back to my teaching plan,students learn how to describe by completing the meaningful task,all the activities are focus on the task.students learn and use English in real situations .so, it really help them to build their interests and confidence in learning English.then,by using chant to make dialogues ,Ss can get the sense of achievement and have fun in English.
