教材分析：

本单元以“电”为话题，以节约用电和安全用电为主线。写作部分主要要求学生能根据关键词为家庭生活制定规章，其中涉及用电规则。同时该部分也是对语法部分情态动词must和mustn’t用法的巩固。本节课通过故事主人公Johnny搬到新家，转到新学校之后对家庭规则和学校规则的学习为主线，既对学生在学习阅读文章（Electricity all around）和情态动词用法之后进行复习和巩固，也引导学生联系生活实际运用所学描述规则和看法。

学情分析：

学生在学习本节课前，已学习了本单元的阅读文章，了解了关于电的来源的一些常识，以及电与我们生活的密切联系。另外，学生也学习了语法情态动词can, can’t, may, may not, must, mustn’t的用法。本班学生大多较为内向，部分成绩中上的学生并不是很活跃，总体上是较为沉稳的一个班集体。有个别学生属于学困生，基础很薄弱，平时较难跟得上，两极分化现象逐渐明显。

教学目标：

知识目标：

1. 复习和掌握情态动词用法，重点掌握must，mustn’t用法；

2. 学会用must和mustn’t描述生活中的规则。

能力目标：

1. 提高用英语口头和书面形式描述规则的表达能力；

2. 提高与同伴合作的能力。

情感目标：

懂得生活中规则的重要性，增强遵守规则的意识。

重点：

掌握情态动词must和mustn’t用法并用其描述生活中的规则。

难点：

联系生活实际制定和描述规则并提高语言综合运用能力。
