Teaching objectives: 1.students can understand the new words and the meaning of the conversation. 2.students can use “Can I help you? Can I try ...on? Size...,please.”make their own conversations and pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.

Teaching important objectives: understand “Can I try them on. Let' s try size7. They' re just right.”

Teaching difficult objectives:using new sentences in real circumstances.

Teaching steps: Step 1. Warm up 1. Show students some pictures of animals to emphasize the image of big, small,long, short. 2. Play the video of new words and sentences in Unit 5,leading to the topic of clothes and colors:”This is a yellow jacket. These are blue pants.”

Step 2. Presentation and practice 1.T: Today let' s go to the shoe shop.(show the picture of shoe store on the screen) Lead students to say blue shoes, yellow shoes,red shoes, white shoes, black shoes... 2.T: I think these yellow shoes are nice. What about you? Lead students to say:”These shoes are nice.”

3.Show students with different shoe size: Size 34, size 35, size 36. pronounce the word “size”right. Lead students to say : I wear... 4.Show the shop assistant on ppt: Can I help you? Told students to practice “Can I help you? These shoes are nice. Can I try them on? Size 36, please. Of course. Here you are.”

5.Show students the circumstance of trying shoes on. Assistant: Are they oK? T: No, they are too small Assistant: OK. Lets try size 38. Assistant: Are they OK? T: No, they are too big. Assistant:OK.Let' s try size 37. T: Yes, they are just right. 6.Watch and answer The shoes of size 6 are _____. A.too big
