1.教材分析: 本单元的话题是中国的传统节日。教师可结合五上Christmas引入，课前可要求学生搜集一些关于中国的传统节日的信息，包括日期、食物和风俗习惯等，为课堂教学做准备。本单元的词汇除了节日名词和食物之外，还包括十二个月份，教师可帮助学生复习季节类和星期类的词汇。为了方便教学和操练，师生可准备日历本。

本单元的句型有两个，都是一般现在时态，一个是用来表达节日的日期，一个是用来描述人们在不同节日里的常见活动和庆祝方式。

学生分析：

本班孩子整体活泼好学，且乐于表达。经过三四年级语音语调以及朗读方面习惯的培养，进入五年级后，能力都有了明显的进步。有自己的独立分析和解决问题的能力，且善于思考，勤于练习，能够尽自己的最大努力完成比较有难度的学习任务，敢于尝试，不怕失败。本单元的场景跟学习生活还是比较密切相关的，孩子有兴趣和自信心完成本课的学习任务。

三、课时教学目标：

Story time本部分用了四个场景呈现了四个中国传统节日。场景一是Liu Tao一家过春节；场景二是Liu Tao，Su Hai，Su Yang，Mike四位小朋友吃粽子、看龙舟赛，一

起过端午节；场景三是Yang Ling一家过中秋节；第四个场景是Su Hai一家在庆祝重阳节。节日的介绍主要围绕日期、活动和食物这三个方面来展开。

1.教材分析: Culture time本版块介绍了西方国家的小朋友最喜欢的节日----万圣夜。每年的11月1日是西方国家的万圣节（All Hallows,Hallowmas或All Saint’s Day）。万圣节的前夜即10月31日晚上，通常被称为“万圣节前夕”或“万圣夜”。万圣夜是西方是鬼节。

万圣夜是孩子们最喜欢的节日，他们通常穿上五颜六色的化妆服，戴上恐怖离奇的面具，手提南瓜灯，挨家挨户地敲门，大喊“Trick or treat(不给糖酒捣蛋)。主任便会拿出一些糖果、巧克力或小礼物招待孩子们。在万圣夜，孩子们还经常参加化妆舞会。

万圣夜最流行的象征式南瓜灯（Jack- o –lantern）.传统的南瓜灯是在掏空瓜瓤后的南瓜上雕刻出奇形怪状的人脸，里面点上蜡烛。

Checkout time有两个活动。Ask and answer要求学生根据信息卡片进行问答活动，旨在帮助学生复习本单元所学习的四个主要节日，同时检测学生能否用句型When’s the ...Festival?What do people usually do at this festival?等句型讨论节日。此活动可以用作Story time的巩固练习。Think and write要求学生根据语言提示，写一写自己喜欢的节日。可以要求学生写一些其他的节日，如新年和圣诞节，以锻炼学生灵活运用语言的能力。Think and write也可以作为Story time的巩固活动。
