The cows are drinking water. 一、教材分析:
本课是外语教学与研究出版社出版的3-6年级的教材中的其中一册中的内容,注重语言交际能力的培养,该课涉及到六年级下册第三模块第二单元。
Students have learned the “present continuous tense”in last unit, so they can use the
“is / am / are / + ing” to express some simple sentences. On this basis, students should learn how to inquire such situation, for example, “What am I doing?”, and learn how to answer the question, for example, “You’re making postcard”. Because there are only a few students in our class, teacher should let every students to have the opportunity to practice “ask and answer” so as to check the teaching result. If some students can’t use the “present continuous tense” quickly and correctly, teacher should make them practice more.
二、教学目标:
1. Knowledge Aim:
The cows are drinking water.
Grammar: Present continuous tense.

Ability Aim : 培养学生运用新句型描述正在发生的事.
3.
Moral Aim : 增强小组合作意识,激发学习的乐趣.
三、教学重难点.
1. Teaching important:
“am / is / are / + ing”,
“present continuous tense”
2. Teaching difficult points: Let students know how to use the “present continuous tense”. 四、教学用具: Tape recorder, pictures.
五、Teaching procedures: Step 1: Warming -up
1.
Sing a song: What do you want to eat? 2.
Free talk : “is / am/ are/ + ing”
Step 2. Leading
T: Act then asks: What am I doing?”
Ss: You’re …ing…
T: Get several students to do and the students answer.
T: Making a postcard. Then ask: “What am I doing?”
Ss: You’re making postcard. (引导Ss 回答)。
T: Today we’ll talk about postcard.
Step 3. Text teaching
T: Show the pictures and listen. (twice)
Ss: Underline the new words.
T: Explain.
Ss: Read the words and spell them.
Game: Spell the words in groups work.
Ss: Listen and read the text. Then Act it out.
Learning the poem.
Step 4. Practice
1.
Talk about photos. (谈论正在发生的事。)
2.
Do the exercise of unit 2 in pairs.
Step 5. Summary
Repeat the“present continuous tense”. Ask and answer,“What am I doing?”“You’re doing Sth.”
Step 6. Homework
Make a postcard and write it in English. Please send it to your friend.

Teacher should explain the new grammar in details. Students can use the “present continuous tense” to ask and answer. Some students can’t use the “present continuous tense” quickly and correctly. Teacher should make them practice more.
