Ss: A ruler, a book, an eraser , a pen and a pencil. T: Good.There is a ruler, a book, an eraser, a pen and a pencil in the bag. I have a question now,what’s in our school?Let’s have a look!

Step2:Presentation 1.

Show a picture of school to introduce the word “school”.Then a picture of gate.When plus two the words, the word”school gate” comes into being.

T: So, what’s in the school?

Ss: There is a school gate in the school. 3.

T: Let’s cross the school gate, where are we now?

Ss: We are on the playground. T: Yes, playground(play+ground).Now, we can say there is a playground in the school. 4.

T: There is a teaching building in front of the playground.Then what’s in the building?

Ss: Classrooms, toilets and teachers’ offices.

T:Smart! Let’s learn this word:toilet.Now I ask you all, what’s in the school(show them pictures of toilet)? Ss: There is toilets in the school. T: Sorry,there is a mistake.We should change is into are because “toilets” is a plural form.Are you clear? Then how about “teachers’ offices” ?

Ss: There are many teachers’ offices in the school.

Ss: A computer. T: Yes, there is a computer in the teachers’
