Step 1. Greeting(let the Ss get ready for class) Step2. Lead-in 1. Let the Ss guess a riddle according to the following clues. (1). It’s a kind of vehicle with two wheels(轮子)。

(2). It used by most people everywhere and people can use it to do exercise. (3). It doesn’t cause air pollution.

What is it?---- bicycle 2.

Let the Ss review the advantages of riding a bicycle. (1)

Let the Ss discuss what we should do to protect us when we ride . Then lead to 1a and learn some new words and phrases.

Step 4. Pre- listening Explain the adverbial clauses of condition with ‘if’ to the Ss. T: Now can you guys tell me what should we do to protect us when we ride bicycles. You can discuss in groups. I’ll give you two minutes. Ok, time’s up, who wants to be the volunteer to share your result with us? S1: We should obey the traffic rules. T: Very good. That is to say if we break the traffic accident ,we will get a fine. Anything else? S2: We should wear helmet to protect our heads. T: Excellent. We also could say it like this” If we don’t wear helmet, we may get hurt” . Do you have any ideas about this?

S3: We should wear special close at night. T: very well. If we wear light- colored close, we won’t be in danger. Ok now my dear class, please observe these three sentence, then please tell me what’s the same points and differences about these sentences. You can discuss with your partner. When you finish it please hand up and share your points with us. S4: If 引导的句子用一般现在时，另一个句子用一般将来时。

Step 6 Post- listening Show some pictures and key words or phrases in 2a to the Ss and let them make sentences with if .Then ask some Ss to write down their sentences on the blackboard. Step 7 Summary and Homework.
