Our students are in Grade 4.

They are active and curious, interested in new things.

They have learnt English for 1 year, so they have known some English background knowledge.

6.Teaching procedures

Step 1. Warm up

Purpose: to active the class, draw studetns’ attention to the class, and review the old words and old sentences.

Step 2. Presentation

Set a real situation of shopping in the clothes shop, the teacher is the salesman, and introduce the clothes to the students

Present a picture of clothes, paly the tape, listen and repeat, then practice the word in many kinds of ways, such as: little train game; rock-paper-scissor game, low voice and loud voice, read in groups, and so on.

Use the same way to teach the other new words:

teacher should pay more attention to the pronounciation of clothes and dress.

Purpose: to stimulate students’ intersts in learning English; improve learning initiation, make students join into the teaching activities positively.
