本课主要教学内容为世界发明故事《飞行器》。故事介绍了莱特兄弟如何通过观察鸟的的飞行发明飞行器的过程，引导学生思考莱特兄弟成功的原因，让学生了解世界重大发明给人类生活带来的便捷和推进作用。原文本插图少，情节相对简单，借鉴绘本教学理念运用于阅读教学中，进行了文本的改编并配上丰富的插图。本节课的课型定位为:绘本故事阅读课。

【教学目标设计】

1、知识目标：

1）阅读故事，理解flying machine,a flying spiral,invent,first,next,then,finally 重点词汇的意思并会认读。

2）能运用一般现在时对事情进行描述。

3）通过学习，学生能使用First,Next,Then,Finally...句型来描述做事情的方法。

2、能力目标：

1）通过完成阅读故事，学生能把握故事的主要信息，理解故事大意。

2）通过完成Read and act环节，学生能合作表演故事段落，提高语言运用能力。

3、情感目标：

1）通过故事学习，引导学生思考莱特兄弟成功的原因，鼓励学生向莱特兄弟学习，善于观察事物。 2）通过故事阅读，让学生了解世界重大发明给人类生活带来的便捷和推进作用，激发学生热爱科学探索，敢于想象并动手实践的精神。

【学情分析】

小学英语课程标准阅读二级目标是：能借助图片读懂简单的故事或小短文，并养成按意群阅读的习惯。其主要目的还是激发学生的阅读兴趣，养成良好的阅读习惯。五年级的学生对图文并茂、情节丰富的英语故事兴趣盎然，他们善于模仿故事中生动的语言，体验角色扮演的快乐。文本《A flying machine》选自世界发明故事《飞行器》，，主要讲述了莱特兄弟一次观察鸟的飞行，启发他们的大胆想象要向鸟儿一样飞行，并积极动手实践，成功发明了飞行器的故事。故事的内容学生不难理解，通过整体阅读绘本—扫读绘本—细节阅读绘本，来启发学生思考莱特兄弟成功的原因，采用问题设计激活学生的思维，多以理解、分析、判断、辨析、想象等语言活动，促进学生自主学习，培养其思维品质，从而提高获取信息的能力和创新能力，并在阅读绘本中感受世界重大发明给人类生活带来的便捷和推进作用，激发学生热爱科学探索，敢于想象并动手实践的精神。
