1. 通过一至三年级学习,学生已经学过hill的近义词,mountain, path这一个词在四年级第一学期的非核心板块中出现过。hill, lawn ,path , bench这四个核心单词,表达在自然界和公园里的事物;在四年级学生将学习如何运用hill, lawn ,path , bench这四个核心词汇,用一般现在时表达一天中树影的变化。

活动与经历
本单元的第一课把场景设置在公园,学生对于这一场景是再熟悉不过了。因此能对此产生很好的共鸣,有话可说。通过在公园里看到的和在公园里活动,让学生学会本单元的单词,并能结合自己的生活实际,展开描述。本单元的第二课时让学生通过观察太阳起落的自然规律,根据太阳的位置,了解影子的方位和长短,并能用正确的语言来表述这一自然现象。第三课时,所创设的情境是Alice去上学的路上,她的影子的变化。这个场景又是学生天天在发生的。结合第二课时,学生们就能了解影子的变化。从而对这个自然现象能更好地进行描述。第四课时是一个和影子有关的故事。学生在故事中能获得乐趣,巩固之前所学的知识。
