Unit 5 Our school? Background information:

There are 40 students in my class.

They are 11 years old.

They are grade 5 in primary school.

They like talking with others.

Timing: 40minutes Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, the students will: 1. be able to get familiar with the words:

school,teaching building,playground,swimming pool,library 2. use new language points to communicate with others. 3. know how to interview others for necessary information, and present their result confidently in public. Resources / aids: Tape; tape recorder; worksheets, computer and projector,

Teaching contents: 1) new words

2)Do you have a…Yes,we do/No, we don't. Stages and procedures: Step 1. Warming up (5 mins) A)

Greeting and warm-up: Teacher will show a picture about school and let students guess what’s topic they will study. B)

Teacher will ask them some questions: What can you see in the picture? And let students read after me the topic three times. Step 2 presentation Learn the new words and sentence structures(10mins) Study the new words one by one(from one to ten ) Step 3 practice(25mins) A)
