Teaching objectives 1. Aims on Knowledge:

(1) With the help of the pictures, students can understand the text and get the key information.

(2) Be able to read the whole text correctly. (1) Be able to express one’s feeling (2) Be able to find out the key information of the text, e.g. afraid, worried pull stuck out of and mud. (3) Be able to understand the text, and try to retell the whole story. 3. Aims on Emotions: (1) To understand we should always be nice to each other.

(2) To arouse the students’ interest in reading and writing in English. 4. Aims on strategy (1) To develop students’ abilities of cooperation and imagination. (2) To strengthen students’ sense of English.

5.Key points: (1) Students can find out the key words and match the information with the pictures.

(2) Students can use the key words to retell the story. 6. Difficult points: (1)To find out the key information about the reading material. (2) Be able to retell the whole story fluently. Teaching aids:

Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Greetings and free talk. 2. Let’s sing. Review the key sentences: How do you feel? I feel... Step 2 While-reading 1.Teacher shows a picture of Robin and the ant in this lesson.

T: Look,

Do you know them? Who are they? How do they feel? From this picture,we can see Robin and the ant are happy,Right? Do you want to know what happened to them?

2. Skimming: Listen to the first three paragraphs of the text, then read it together. Help the students try to understand the meaning of the text, and find out how does the ant feel? Is the ant happy? No,he is afraid. Why is the ant afraid? Where is the ant? What happened to the ant? Then ask the kids,Why is the ant become happy later? What’s happening on the ant? Read the next three paragrphs in groups . Try to use the interrogatives to make the students 沟通the main idea. 3.

Scanning: Read the text again, with the key words, number the picturess and fill in the blanks in the text book. Step 3 Post-reading 1.Teacher gives the kids some key words and ask the kids try to retell the whole story. 2. Enjoy a story about a lion and a mouse. 3. Moral education:We should always be nice to each other. Step 5 Homework 1.Tell the story to your parents. 2.Continue the story.(What will happen next? Imagine and talk with your partners?
