教学设计思路：

本节课的课型为阅读课。通过对课文的阅读了解西方餐桌礼仪。在Pre-reading环节里，首先播放一段有关世界上不同国家餐桌礼仪的视频，然后给学生出具实物复习餐具和食物词汇。然后老师逐个展示实物并让学生观看、写下这些词汇加以巩固。接下来讨论几个常识性的中西方餐桌礼仪，调动学生的已有经验，使他们更积极主动地参与课堂，同时学习新词汇polite和impolite等。本课将While-reading分为三个步骤。

第一遍，速读课文，了解文章大意。第二遍，再读课文，完成1b的判断。第三遍，精读课文，完成表格。设计表格的目的是要求学生注重细节，同时为复述课文做准备。在Post-reading环节里，首先解决课文中出现的语言点，尤其是whether or not的用法。最后，将1c与4结合在一起，让学生讨论中国的餐桌礼仪并上网查询收集。

Teaching procedures Step1 Greeting, warming-up and leading-in. （一）知识拓展—视频欣赏：世界各国餐桌文化.mp4 （二）Review some words 1.watch the things on the shelf(观看书架上的物品) 2.write them down in English(用英文写下) 3.take photos and upload(拍照上传) Check the things the students wrote just now. Step2 Pre-reading. Look at the picture and write the words on the lines. Then ask a student to show how to set the table in a formal western dinner party,Watch the video and understand. Step3 While-reading. Read 1a and mark T (True) or F(False). Step4 key points. 1.If you go to a formal western dinner party for the first time,you'd better know about western table manners.

否定形式为：remember not to do sth.

(2) too much 在句中作状语，修饰动词drink。复习

5.宾语从句用陈述句语序

Do you know if / whether he likes Times English Post?

I want to know what they are talking about.

Maybe you don’t know whether it’s polite or not to

speak loudly at the table. Step5 Collect some information about table manners in China. Then talk about them. You may use these sentences: I think (that) it is polite to … in China.

I think (that) it is impolite to … in China.
