Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 Daily talk

T: What day is it today? T: What’s the date today? T: What’s the weather like today? Step2 Pre-reading

1.Lead in(Topic: vegetable soup)

T: Look at this beautiful lady. Who’s she? Do you know where’s my hometown?- Hubei. I’m from Hubei. I like spicy food. But now I live in Zhongshan. Do you know? What special food do we have in Zhongshan? ( Shiqi pegion…..)

T: Ok, children. There’re much tasty food in Zhongshan. But I like Guangdong soup best. Do you like soup? What kinds of soup do you know?( Chicken soup….) T: What do you like? How about Tony? What does Tony like?

T: Tony likes school’s vegetable soup. Look, this is Tony’s school’s vegetable soup. Can you guess? What’s in the soup? T: Ok. Now let’s learn to make it, ok?

Step 3 While- reading

1.Read and underline

T: Please open your books, turn to page 60, read the passage and underline: what do we need to make vegetable soup.

T: Now can you tell me what do we need? We need……

2.Explain the spoon/ a spoon of sugar/ two spoons of sugar.

T: Do you know a spoon of sugar? What’s this? It’s a spoon. What about this one? 3.Read and order.

4.Read and check.

5.Read and judge.

6.Listen and repeat.

T: Well done. Now let’s listen and repeat together.

7.Retell the recipe.

8.Watch a video( vegetable soup)

T: Great ! Here, let’s watch a video of making vegetable soup, ok?

Step 4 Post –reading
