教学难点：“but”的理解和运用。
教学过程：
Step1. Warming up
1. Greeting. 2. 生读课题。
Step2. Presentation
1. 课件出示过生日图片并问学生“what are they doing?”
Ss: They are having a birthday party.
2.Sing the song of “Happy Birthday”
together. 3. 出示Daming 生日中的一幅图，创设情境，进入课文学习。
T: Look, this is Daming’s birthday party. Let’s go to the party and have a look.
Step3. Learning the text
1.. Listen and answer the questions. ⑴
Daming is playing the suona, but what happens? ⑵
Daming is playing the suona again, but what happens? ⑶
Daming is playing the suona for the third time, but what happens?
2.再次听录音，理解“but”的用法。
T：每一次当大明演奏唢呐时，都有事情发生，打断了他的演奏。那么当一个人正在做某事，另一件事情突然发生时，我们该怎样表达呢？
3. 从课文的重点句子中发现“but”的运用。师总结并板书“but”的用法。以按课文内容填空的形式让学生补充完整重点句子。
4. 看图片，小组内用“but”,把课文的重点句子再次读出来。然后师再次总结“but”的用法。

1. 出示图片，根据图片运用“but”把句子补充完整。
2. 完成课本P28页Practise 4 的练习。
