Teaching process（教学过程）：

一．Review 1.

One of the students leads the students to review the words and phrases learnt yesterday. Then finish 1a. 2.

Another student guides the students to review the sentences about adverbial clauses of reason and equal comparison. 3.

Another student leads the students to review the functions.

4.

Play a game. Good feelings & Bad feelings. Make two groups to say the words about feelings in turn.

二．Activities 1.

Talk about your feelings with adverbial clauses of reason. T: Are you happy? Why? S1: Yes. I feel very happy because ... ...... T: Can we be happy all the time? S: No.

T: Well,how do you deal with your sadness? Now, let’s watch a short play. 2.Put on a short play（小小舞台剧）

S1：I feel upset. Would you like to learn about my story?I am Jeff. My elder brother was killed in a car accident.I feel very sad.(我是杰夫，我的哥哥在一次车祸中丧生了，我十分的伤心。)

S2&S3：Don't be sad any longer,my son.(别再伤心了，我的儿子！）

Let’s have a talk,Jeff. （让我们谈一谈吧！）

S1: No.

S4: Let’s go to play basketball,Jeff.(我们去打篮球吧，杰夫。）

S1：No.

S5&S6: Would you like to go to a movie with us? It’s very interesting.

S1: No.

S2: What shoule we do?(我们该怎么办呢？）

The other students give some advice to cheer Jeff up. (其他同学们提出一些建议去帮助杰夫振作起开。）

Thanks for your advice. 设计理念：把杰夫的故事以舞台剧的形式搬到课堂上，让同学们融入

到情境中，引导他们探究杰夫的故事，激发他们帮助杰夫

的积极性。

3.T: You are very helpful. Well, how did Jeff deal with his sadness?Let’s find out the answers to the questions.(大家都很乐于助人。杰夫是怎么处理他的悲伤呢？我们一起来看看。）

The students read the passage on Page 16.At the same time, the teacher

shows five questions in 1b. After reading, some students shows their answers to the questions. 4.Writing.

1.What other negative feelings did you experience?

（你感受过什么其他的负面情绪？）

T: Are you really unhappy?(你真的不高兴吗？）

Show some pictures that the poor children have a hard life in order that the students know they are happy. (展示一些过着艰苦生活的可怜孩子们的照片，同学们会感到他们是幸福的。）

Lead the students to write poems about “I love my life” in groups. (引导学生们以小组为单位写关于热爱生活的诗。）

Show some poems from different groups. 三．Summary

One of the students leads the students to summary the language learnt in

五．Homework Write a short competition about how to deal with your sadness. Preview new lesson.
