Topic: Using my five senses Sub-topic: what a mess!
Period: 1st period Sub-task: to learn some stationary at school and review the sentence pattern “whose … is this/ that?”
Background study and material analyses: My target students are of Grade Five. They have already had acquired some stationary like book, ruler, eraser, notes. What’s more, they have already acquired the sentence pattern “whose … is this? / that? , whose … are these/ are those?”
On the other, this period is the first class of the very beginning. we will learn some requirement and expectation in this class, besides we will also cover the things we need for class. Objectives:
1. To review the some learnt stationary and learn some new words as “notebook, paints, crayon, school bag, tape glue, brush” and their plural forms (if they have that) 2. 【Teaching Focus】
to review the sentence pattern “whose … is this/ is that ? whose… are these? Whose … are those?” (by reviewing students are going to review the pronoun) Aids:

book.= it’s mine. It’s his/ her … = it’s his/ hers. 4. Review the table of nominal pronoun and its function. 5. conclude the difference between adjective pronoun and nominal pronoun. 6. Make your dialogue. “Whose … are these?”
