过程与方法

1、通过短篇介绍理解话题地球一小时的字面意思,和内在的文化蕴涵。

2、通过文本和对话的学习,了解地球一小时

,同龄人的所作所为。

3、通过文本和对话模仿表演,比较学习一般现在时句型和现在正在进行时句型。

4、通过教师所提供的句型框架,假设学生所处地球一小时,自己的所作所为。

通过本课时的学习,使学生理解感受到节约能源的重要性,激发学生热爱地球,热爱家园的真挚情感。

Earth Hour

Today many people want to spend one hour without lights at night. Some of them are enjoying a wonderful dinner in the candle light with their family members. Some are running, walking, singing and dancing outside. Some are sleeping and having a good dream. And some are doing many things with the lights off. Here’s an interview for Earth Hour.

---- Good evening. It is Earth Hour now. Many people turn off the lights. What are they doing now? Let’s go and have a look.

---- Hi. I’m Alice. I usually watch TV with my parents at night, but now we’re looking at the stars. My dad is telling me a lot about the stars.

---- Hell, my name’s Kitty. My brother Ben and I usually read storybooks before bedtime, but now Grandma is telling us a fairy tale.

----- Hi, I’m Sally. I usually do my homework at night, but now we’re chatting with our parents. They are telling us a lot of interesting stories about themselves.

【教学过程】

Procedures Contents Introduction. Earth Hour started in Sydney at 8:30 P.M. on March 31,2007. More than 22 million homes and business

turned off their lights for an hour.

On March 28,2009, 88 countries

and over 2100 cities took part in

this activity. Earth Hour came to China officially

at that time.

Earth Hour is a meaningful activity which reminds

us of saving electricity

to protect environment.

Of course, it is useless to turn off lights for an hour every year, but it is a good way to tell people that we should save energy.
