本单元主要围绕“Open Day”这一话题展开各项语言活动。通过师生讨论学校开放日活动的场景，引出了词句的学习。本单元词汇分为两类，一类是有关学校设施的词汇，另一类是连接副词。有关学校设施的词汇在四年级上册已学过一些。First,they’ll visit our classroom.这是本单元的主要句型。含有will的一般将来时句型在本册书的Unit3中已学习过，本单元将此句型与连单元接副词结合融入新语境，用First, …，Next, …，Then …，After that, …Finally …来描述事件发整体生的顺序，进一步学习这一时态。本单元的内容与学生的学校生活非常贴近，建议教师多挖掘分析

实际生活中的事例，并引导学生发现，探索和思考，生成语言操练素材。在教学过程中要有意建造书本内容与实际生活之间的桥梁，让学生学以致用。在教学时，要扎实落实书本上的语言点。只有在充分操练了目标语言知识后进入对实际生活的拓展，才会有效运用语言知识，从而提高学生的语言能力。

五年级学生已经初步具备了一定的英语知识和技能，但每个班的学生之间存在着一定的学习差距，多数学生对英语学习有兴趣，少数学生由于家庭因素，个人兴趣等原因，导致英语学习较困难。本课的will一般将来时句型在Unit3中已经学习过，学情

将此句型与连接副词结合使用，描述事件发生的先后顺序，内容有些长，部分学生分

我采取思维导图的方式展开本课，引出主题，引发学生思考，并让学生在玩游戏中复习本单元的词汇。
