Teaching procedure: Step 1 Warming-up 1. Show the learning aims.

2. Check the Preview. 3. Review the advantages of riding bicycles. Get Ss to answer“How to ride safely?”by showing a picture.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Listen to 1a, and find out “A. Where did the accident happen?”

“B. What was the reason?”

“C. What will Kangkang and Michael do next?” Then check the answer. 2. Listen and imitate 1a, then finish 1b.

3. Look at the flash, then act out 1a and retell it according to the key words.

4. Read 1a again, and find out and explain the key points.

Step 3

Consolidation Look at the pictures. Discuss the results of breaking the traffic rules with if. Then write down the sentences.

Step 4

Practice

1.Match the two parts of the sentences to make traffic rules.

Listen and read these sentences. Pay attention to the stress and understand the focus of each sentence.
