Key points: （1）Words : raise , king, queen, common, Canadian, dollar, draw,

（2）Sentences: It’s very common to raise money in Canadian and American schools.

It costs each student one dollar to buy a ticket for the draw.

After all the tickets are sold, one ticket is drawn.

2.Difficult points：

（1）理解文中的被动语态。

（2）掌握表示花钱的句子的用法。

V. Teaching procedures Step 1 Review Review something in Section A and Section B to lead to the new lesson.

For example: Kangkang and his classmates will go on a spring field trip, where are they going for their trip? Do you want to have a trip to Mount Tai? Do you have enough money? If you don’t have enough money for your trip, what will you do?

Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some words to the students, ask them to read 1a and try to guess the meanings of the words. Then finish 1b.

2. Teach some new words: king, queen, Canadian, dollar. Let them understand the word “draw”.

3. Play the flash of 1a to students, let them watch it and put the sentences in the correct order. Then finish 1c. 4. Let students listen to 1a with a few questions, after listening to it, ask them to answer.

Step 3 Consolidation

Show some key points to students and explain them to students. 2.

Do some exercises to consolidate the key points.

Step 4 Practice 1.

Ask the students to match the following ideas about how to raise money with the pictures.

Ask the students to work in groups and discuss which ideas above is the best. And why? Then give a report and act how to raise money if they can.

Step 5 Summary Show the summary to students.
