Ask S to memorize the words and key sentences one by one. Step2: Presentation 1. New words: Let Ss look at the some new pictures, learn the new words.

Teach Ss the new words “zoo, city, and street”.

Lead Ss to master the new words with the new sentence

pattern, when Ss can say them skillfully, summarize all the

examples; we find the new sentence pattern.

Ask S to make up sentences with the new sentence pattern and known words.

2. Turn right, turn left, go straight

Ask Ss to look at some pictures which are connected with all the directions.

For example,

Ask S to translate the Chinese directions into English.

Explain the important points; give some examples at the same time. And then lead all the students to read and recite the dialogue.

Teach the direction phrases, ask S to read them in different ways.

Lead S to master the phrases by doing actions.

3. Chant

Lead all the students to know each sentence, and then ask them to chant after the tape.

Step3: Practice

Do activities to remember the new words; Pair work, read the text in different way.

Ask S to make their own conversations, then check.
