Students can learn how to capture the key information. Make sure that Ss can talk about the steps of brushing teeth, such as inside, outside, biting part.

Teaching procedures:
Step one:Warm-up. 1. Free talk。
2. Let’s chant. Brush your teeth. Step two: Pre-reading. 1. Show up two pictures of tooth and teeth, distinguish singular form and plural form. 2. Matching Game: Have students distinguish healthy\good teeth and unhealthy\bad teeth by matching the pictures and the words. 3. Raise a question: Do you want good teeth or bad teeth?
Ss: I want to have good teeth.
T: How can you have good teeth?You may find the answer in our following reading. Step three: While-reading. 1.
Show the question: How often should you brush your teeth?
Have students find the answer and answer the question. 2. Analyze the steps of brushing teeth. 3. Show up two questions: a. What foods are good for your teeth? b. What foods are not good for your teeth?
Have Ss find the answer.
Step four: Post-reading. 1.Read and judge T or F. 2. Finish Part 3 and 4 on page 75. 3.Write: How can you have good teeth? Write a short passage in 5 sentences. Step five : Homework.
1. Brush your teeth correctly at home.
2.Tell your parents how to have good teeth.
