Unit 2 Vacation Plans
----More reading and writing教学设计
广东省中山市小榄镇德星小学陈雁云本节课教学内容是:粤人教版五年级下册Unit 2 Vacation Plans More reading and writing 部分,是本单元第四课时。
1.教学目标:
语言目标:1)学会词汇:riding bikes ,the cycling events, the Olympic Park ,some shows ,Chinese food,
the Palace Museum ,the Summer Palace ,the Water Cube , the Bird’s Nest .
2)学生能用I’m going to … / We’re going to…的句型正确表达假期旅游计划。
知识与技能目标:1)能用将来时表达自己的计划(Where to go…? / How to go…? / Where to stay…? / What to do…?)。
2)能用一句话说说对北京的印象(Beijing is big! / Beijing is beautiful!….)。
3)掌握英语阅读的技巧和方法。
情感目标:培养学生的爱国情绪,培养学生喜欢学习英语、用英语的好习惯。
2.教学重点
1、单词:riding bikes ,the cycling events,some shows, the Olympic Park , Chinese food,the Palace Museum ,
the Summer Palace ,the Water Cube ,the Bird’s Nest . 2、句型:学会用I’m going to… / We’re going to…描述旅游计划。
3.教学难点
1)学会用I’m going to… / We’re going to…描述旅游计划。
2)掌握阅读技巧和的方法。
4.教学策略
本节课借助多媒体,听说,表演等方法创设教学情景,以学生为主体,注重学生语音能力的培养,加以任务型教学,调动学生的学习积极性,让学生合作、自主、愉快地学习。通过阅读,讨论,描述等活动,在宽松愉快的心理氛围中达到学习效果。
1)、教学方法:本节课采用视听教学法,情景教学法、活动教学法、游戏教学法和任务型教学法。以“言语交际为中心”,借助多媒体提供的多种资源,以听、读、看为突破口,较好地激发学生的主观能动性,激发他们的学习热情,提高他们的综合语言素质,进一步提高课堂教学的有效性。
2)、辅助手段:多媒体课件来辅助教学,形象、生动、真实的情景展现,为学生的学习提供了良好的基础。
3、教具准备:PPT、多媒体课件、视频、课堂练习。
5.教学过程
Step1 Warming up
Free Talk : What’s the date today ?
What’s the weather like now ?
What are you going to do tonight / tomorrow/ this Sunday?
I’m going to play basketball. / I’m going to watch TV. …
[设计意图:通过几个问题的对话,复习I’m going to do sth . 句型,同时让学生快速进入英语学习状态]
Step 2 Revision
Look at the pictures and revise : How to make a vacation Plan ? Who …? (father / mother / family / friends)
Where to go… ? (Guangzhou / Shanghai / Beijing…)
How to go …? (by bus / by train / by plane…)
What to do…? (shop for clothes / meet some friends…)
Where to stay…? (stay in a hotel / go camping…)
[设计意图:通过这个复习环节,让学生明确旅游计划的五要素:谁去?去哪里?怎样去?去做什么?住什么地方?为下面的阅读写作教学做好铺垫。]
Step 3Presentation
1)Learn the passage on the SB P26.
First : Listen to the tape.(学生整体感受阅读篇章的大意) Next : Books open. Read the passage together.(认真学习篇章的内容)
Then: Find out the key words in the passage.
Let’s learn: riding bikes / the cycling events / by plane / the Olympic Park / the Great Wall / some shows / Chinese food. [设计意图:通过听、说、读、写,学生整体学习阅读材料,借助课件精美图片,帮助学生学习文章中较难的词汇。]
2)Do exercise.
a. Read and circle the key words.(The Wilsons , Beijing , by plane , stay in a hotel near the Olympic Park , see the Great Wall , watch some shows, eat lots of Chinese food)
b. Read and answer.
Q1: Where is the Wilsons going ?
Q2: Why do they want to go?
Q3: Where are they going to stay?
c. Read and check. (T or F)
( F) 1.Robert and Denise don’t like cycling.
( F) 2.The Wilsons are going to staying with friends in Beijing. (F ) 3.The Wilsons do not like Chinese food.
( T ) 4.They are going to see the Great Wall .

3)Extension
a. Watch a vedio about Beijing.
b. Learn some famous places in Beijing. E.g. the Summer Palace, the Palace Museum, the Old Summer Palace, the Bird’s Nest…c. The students say some things about Beijing.
E.g: Beijing is very big! / I like Beijing Duck. Beijing is very beautiful. I’m going to visit Beijing this summer holiday….
d. The teacher share a passage about Beijing.
Beijing is the capital of China. There are many places of
interest in Beijing. Such as: the Palace Museum ,
the Summer Palace, the Great Wall.
The Great Wall is very famous. It’s very long.
People call it “Wanli Changcheng” in Chinese.
It looks like a huge dragon. There is an old saying,
“He who doesn’t reach the Great Wall is not a true man.”
In Beijing, we can eat Beijing duck, watch Beijing Opera
and go shopping. We can have a good time in Beijing.

4) Writing
a. Summary the key points about Vacation Plans.

b. Learn the teacher’s Vacation Plans.
My Vacation plans
This Summer V acation , I’m going to Beijing with my friends. We are going by plane. We are going to see the Great Wall . We’re going to watch some shows .We’re going to eat Beijing Duck. We’re going to take many photos . We’re going to stay in a big hotel. It will be lots of fun.
