Dates of the Month

Part A 一、教学目标:

1.学生能听懂、会说、认读单词: date，lucky，difficult，calendar 2.学生能听懂、会说、认读句子：What’s the date today? It’s….

二、教学重难点:能听、说、读并正确使用新单词和句型。

三、教学具准备:CAT课件，

录音机，

单词卡片

四、教学过程:

Step 1.Warming up .师生互致问候。

2.师生自由对话：

How many days are there in a week? How many weeks are there in a month? How many months are there in a season? How many months are there in a year? What’s your favorite month? Why?

3.揭示课题并板书：Unit 8 Dates of the Month Part A 4.出示单词卡片，教学单词date。

Step 2.Review 1.复习序数词，并学习第20到第31的序数词。

（1）用快速反应法复习基数词和序数词。

（2）教师在数字21旁写出其序数词twenty first（21st），告诉学生，20以上的非整数的序数词，十位上的数用基数词，个位上的数用序数词，中间用连字符“-”。

（3）请三位学生上台完成板书，如：

（4）师讲解基数词变序数词的口诀并采用不同的方法操练这些序数词。

2.复习十二个月份的单词。

（1）出示十二月份的单词卡片，学生快速认读。

（2）游戏——快速反应。

游戏规则：教师随机抽取一张卡片，学生要快速读出来，并用序数词说出它是第几个月，

如：教师出示October，学生说：“October，10th”。

将October和tenth的卡片发给说得最快的两位学生，以此类推。

Step3.Presentation

（一）学习课文的第一段和第二段对话

1.学习句子What’s the date today? It’s….

（1）教师出示课文的第一幅挂图，指着图中的日历边问边板书：What’s the date today? 并指导学生读It’s May 29.请持有卡片May和twenty ninth的学生举起卡片，帮助学生记忆。

（2）教师指着图中的蛋糕问：“What’s this? It’s a birthday cake. So what are Wang Tao and Lily talking about? Let’s listen and watch.”

（3）教师播放课文录音或CD-ROM，学生小声模仿跟读。

2.学习单词lucky和句子My birthday will come in three days. （1）教师提出问题：“When is Lily’s birthday? How do you know it?”

（2）请学生带着问题读课文的第一段和第二段，找出答案。然后教师教学句子My birthday will come in three days. That’s June 1，Children’s Day! 出示5月29日和6月1日的日历，操练句型What’s the date today? It’s….

（3）请近期要过生日的学生起来模仿说一说，如：

My birthday will come in twenty days. That’s….

（4）教学单词lucky，并自编chant，巩固lucky的用法，如：

It’s a lucky day. It’s a lucky number. He is a lucky boy. You’re so lucky.

（5）朗读两段对话。

（二）学习课文的第三段对话

1.教师出示课文的第三幅挂图，指着图中的日历说：“June 1 is Lily’s birthday. When is Wang Tao’s birthday?”。让学生从文中找出答案并帮助学生表达It’s February 29.

2.教师播放对话录音或CD-ROM，学生模仿跟读。

3.学习单词difficult，calendar和句子It’s difficult to find on the calendar. （1）教学单词difficult。将该单词划分音节：difficult，按音节分解教学该单词的读音。请学生说出该单词的反义词easy，并练说句子：It’s easy to remember.和It’s difficult to remember.

（2）出示一本日历，教学单词calendar。引导学生按音节calendar来读单词。

（3）出示最近几年2月份的日历，看2月份是否有29号。然后出示句子It’s difficult to find on the calendar.帮助学生理解句子意思。提出问题：“Why?”请几位学生回答，教师总结：“如果一年有365天，就叫‘平年’，如果一年有366天，就叫‘闰年’。平年的二月为28天，闰年的二月为29天，每隔四年有闰年，因此，王涛说他的生日时间很难在日历上找到。

（三）熟读课文，回答问题

1.教师播放课文录音或CD-ROM二至三次，

学生模仿跟读。

2.请个别学生分角色朗读对话。

3.教师根据课文内容填空。

（四）巩固练习

1．完成课本第58页的Ask and answer.部分。

（1）教师播放录音，学生模仿跟读。

（2）看PPT出示的图片，快速用英语说出日期。

Step4.Summary

To sum up what you have learned today. Step5.Homework 1.1. Listen and follow. （听读课文。）

2. Finish the AB P47-48.（完成活动手册第47-48页。）

3. Make two cards. Write down the holidays in English on one side. And the dates on another side.（请每位学生制作2张卡片，用英语在卡片的一面写上某个节日的名称，在卡片的另一面写

出该节日的日期。）
