教材分析：

本课的内容选自冀教版小学英语第三册第三单元。这是一篇关于一只小猫进城看望她的姐姐的故事。故事涉及本单元所学的单词city，street，hotel，apartment，traffic lights, turn right，turn left，及问路指路的基本表达。此外，故事在学生已有单词和用语的基础上进行了适当的拓展延伸。

学情分析：

本节课的授课对象是小学四年级的学生，接触英语已经一年多了，对英语的学习有了一定的了解和知识的基础，有了初步的语言交际能力。利用四年级学生活泼、好动、易于接受和模仿，有效注意时间短的特点，通过情景教学、角色扮演等方式延长学生的有效注意时间，尽可能多的让学生表现自己并及时给予评价，使学生获得成就感，增强自信心，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，从而达到有效教学。

教学目标：

知识目标

1.学生能够听懂和理解这个简单的故事。

2.学生能就故事进行提问和回答。

3.学生能够分角色，并用自己的语言表演故事。

能力目标：

在日常情境中注意观察，并用简单的英语对话

情感目标：

培养学生们集体合作能力，增强学生们的集体荣誉感。

重点

：小故事中出现的地点以及直行、左右转等英文表达。

问路或给他人指路时用到的英文表达。

难点

：用自己的语言表演故事。

教具

：与本课内容相关的图片、动画小故事、文本等。

教学过程

Ⅰ. Class opening and review

Greeting：(1)Let's chant! (2)Play a game: Please go straight/ turn left/turn right!

Lesson hook（课文导入）：What’s this? It’s a cat. The cat goes to the city to visit his sister. He is lost. Who helps the cat? Let’s read the story. 有只小猫想去城里拜访姐姐，他迷路了，只好向别人求助。他向谁求助了呢？最后找到了姐姐了吗？我们一起来读读课文吧！

Ⅱ. New concepts：Story time: Lost in the city

读前活动Prepare to read：

1 、Please listen and look . What animals(动物) can you see in the story? 看图讨论 Look and talk.

快速浏览每一幅图，讨论故事梗概。思考问题：

How many animals can you see from this story?What are they?

（在黑板上贴4张动物图）

阅读活动Read the story：

1、Please read the story . Who helps the cat find the NICE house? Then fill in the blanks.（sister , helps , helps）

Read the story：依次浏览每幅图，帮助学生理解故事情节。

学习新词汇：visit 2、Read the story and find the answers. 1. What’s her name?（Her name is Kitty. ）

Let’s meet her. Hello, Kitty! Nice to meet you. 2. Who is lost？ (B: The cat.) 3. Who lives in the city？ (A: Kitty)

4. Which house(哪间房子)is her house? ( B: NICE) 5.The dog and the bird help the cat. Who is right? (B: The bird) (边回答问题边阅读，小组成员一起读，每组至少读一副图。) 3、学习新词visit 1.What is the cat thinking about? 指导图3、图5阅读。各小组分角色有感情朗读。

5、Please glue the sentences on the blackboard. 将对话的重点句子张贴在黑板上，齐读两遍，为表演故事打好基础。
