二、教学目标
1、能听懂、会说、会读单词:uncle,doll,ball,robot;能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词:happy,new,year,for,you。
2、能听懂、会说、会读日常用语和句型:Happy New Year!What’s this/that?It’s …This is for you.It’s for you.
3、会用英语表达节日问候,会对他人表达感谢之意,感受英语学习的乐趣和成就。

Step1. Enjoy a song
Enjoy the song Happy New Year before class
Step2 Free talk
T: Now, listen to the music. Do you know the name of the song?
S: Happy New Year.
T: Oh, great. You already know the name of the song.
Let’s try to sing it happily together.
(学生试着跟卡通唱歌谣。)
T: Well done, boys and girls.
So what can we do in New Year?
(You can tell us in Chinese.)
S: 唱歌跳舞/ 拜年/ 吃大餐。
T: Good. We can do many interesting things in New Year. And, we can get a lot of presents, too. New Year is coming. Today I have some New Year presents for you. T: Happy new year.
S: Happy New Year/
T: This is for you.
S: Thank you.
(给学生几颗糖果。)
T: Do you like your presents?
S: Yes.
T: Do you like New Year?
S: Yes.
T: Are you happy today?
S: Yes.
T: So please greet other people in English in holidays,
Then you can feel the achievement and the happiness in language learning.
So, let’s say ‘Happy New Year.’
Ss: Happy New year.
Step 2 Presentation
T: Look, it is New Year. Someone is visiting Mike’s family. Who is he? Do you know? (学生观看卡通。)
S: Uncle John.
(教授Uncle John并把头像贴在黑板上。)
T: Uncle comes to visit Mike’s family today.
What presents does he give? Let’s watch the cartoon.
(教授单词ball, robot, doll并把图片贴在黑板上。)
T: Who are they for? Please read the story by yourselves.
学生带着问题读课文。
T: Who can match the presents with the children?
请学生上黑板连一连
T: Now, let’s try to act.
T: Who wants to be Mike/ Helen?
S:..
T: Who wants to be Uncle John?
You can say ‘This is for you.’ (板书并带读句子This is for you.)
T: Here’s the doll. Who can try?
S: This is for you. Helen.
S1: Thank you.
(同法呈现ball和doll)
T: Now, let’s learn the story. Please listen and repeat.
(学生逐句听录音跟读课文。)
(1)读到第三幅图How nice.的时候。
T: When you receive a present. Remember to open the box immediately and say ‘Hello’, ‘How nice.’and something else. OK?
S: OK.
T: But what else can we say to show our affection?
S: .. (教师及时板书相关语句。)
T: Well. These are what we can say when we get presents.
(2)读到第五幅图时
T: Look, Helen is far away from the box. So what does she say?
S: What’s that?
此时板书并带读这个句子
T: What’s that?
S: It’s a balloon.

教师出示3,5两幅图
T: Now, look at the pictures. I’m Helen. Who wants to be Mike?
(教师和学生示范表演3,5两幅图。)
T: Can you act them out in pairs?
S: Yes.
(学生小组表演这两幅图。)
T: Who can try?
(请一组学生上来展示,教师用Can he stand here and say ‘What’s that?’来给学生纠错。)
(4)读到第六幅图时教授It’s a robot. It’s for Tim.
Step 3 Consolidation
T: Now please try to read the story fluently. You can read in roles. Or act out the story without the help of your English book.
(学生小组读课文。)
T: Who wants to come here and act out the story?
S: …
T: Well, let’s act out the story together in the cartoon.
T: Now, we know much about Uncle John’s new year presents for Mike’s family. And we can sing about the presents, too.
第一首歌谣:
教师唱歌示范
第二首歌谣:
T: Please try to sing in pairs. One is Uncle John. One is Mike.
第三首歌谣:
T: This song is about Tim. Please fill in the blanks and try sing it.
Step 4 Summary
T: Good job, boys and girls. Now let’s try to review what we leant today.
Look, this is New Year. What can the boy say?
S: Happy New. Year.
T: If your want to give a present. What can you say?
S: This is for you.
T: If you received a present. What can you say?
S: How nice./ Thank you./ …
T: If your want to know what the present is. What can you say?
S: What’s this?
T: If you want to know what it is? What can you say?
S: What’s that?
T: Great. You are so terrific in this class.
Step 3 Task
T: Now, look at the picture. It is New Year. Uncle John is at home.
Look, who’s this boy?
S: Son.
T: Yes, this is Uncle John’s son, Tom.
带读Tom.
T: Now, Helen and Mike come to visit Uncle and John.
What presents do they bring? What do they say? Please make a short play in groups.
