让学生逐渐进入学习英语的气氛中，体会新年的氛围

Step 2 Lead-in

1.出示日历，将元旦一月一日圈出来

T：New year is coming soon.(teach year年) T：Let’s enjoy an English song Happy New Year.

T:When new years come, what can you say?

S:Happy New Year.(教授Happy New Year）

T：Happy New Year，boys and girls. S:Happy New Year,miss Zhu. T:Today we’re going to learn U8 Happy New Year. (引出话题）

教师出示课题：Unit 8 Happy New Year!跟读题目

教学内容

Step2:Presentation 1.T:We have three friends here.(出示Tim、Helen、Mike的头像）.Can you say Happy New Year to them? T:Today, a guest is coming ,who is he? (watch the video) S1：Uncle John.(贴头饰）教授uncle读音。

教授单词a doll ,a CD, a car，a ball T：Look,uncle John brings many gifts. T:What’s this? Guess? S1:It’s a ... T:(盒子里出示礼物）Wow，a car(教授car的读音）

T:What’s that? (教授what's that?) S2: It’s a .. T:(盒子里出示礼物）It’s a CD. 出示 what’s this 和what’s that？的区别

第三幅图填空what's __this__? It’s a doll. 第四幅图 what's __that___? It’s a robot. 第五幅图___what’s_____ this?(让学生懂得特殊疑问词的重要性）
