Step 2 Presentation 1. Learn the new words

(教师准备两个礼物包，将doll、ball、CD、

toy car，robot分别放在里面。近处的包里有CD、doll；远处的包里放ball、toy car、robot) T: New Year’s Day is coming soon. I have some presents in my bags. And that’s for my baby. This is for me. What’s for me? Let me open it. Look, what’s this?

在本节课以歌曲导入新知，让学生通过歌曲Happy New Year感受节日氛围。边唱边做的形式不仅能带动学生的热情，也为后面的学习进行了铺垫。

接下来采用礼物袋激发学生学习新词的兴趣，以游戏形式巩固单词，并渗透句型What’s this/that?、It’s …。在教学过程中，教师可以不局限于书上的词汇，根据学生说的礼物内容即时教新词。

在课文学习部分，让学生先通过听录音，知道有哪些礼物，然后再次播放课文动画，让学生了解这些礼物分别是给谁的，这是一个从整体到细节的过程。接着让学生精读课文，引导学生发现赠送和接受礼物需要用什么语言，并尝试运用语言。在此过程中适当进行文化渗透，让学生了解体会中西方在礼物收受上的文化差异。

课文朗读的过程分两步：首先逐句跟读，模仿语音语调。注意督促学生及时标注重音和声调，帮助学生形成良好的朗读模仿习惯。然后通过表演来复习和巩固课文学习。课文学习后，引导学生换位思考“新年即将来临，你会对爸爸妈妈做什么，说什么？”。鼓励学生在新的情境中运用所学语言。
