Teaching Aids PPT headwear of animals, word-cards Teaching Procedure I warm-up and revision 1. Greeting each other. 2. Sing the song Our School. (The T shows the pictures of school and classrooms.)

3. Let’s do. The Ss chant and do the actions to review the words. The T shows pictures about library, teacher’s office, playground, garden

of

our school using the PPT.

Go to the library. Read a book. Go to the teachers’ office. Say hello. Go to the playground. Play football. Go to the garden. Water the flowers. Ⅱ Presentation 1.

The T shows the picture of lunch room at our school to teach the phrase “lunch room” and sentences “It’s time for lunch. I’m full.”

T: Hello, kids. Please look here. Is this the music room?

S1: No, it isn’t.

T: Is that the computer room?

S2: No, it isn’t. It’s lunch room.

T: Yes, you are right. It’s our lunch room. It’s very big and clean. When it’s eleven ten, school is over. It’s time for lunch. We can go to the lunch room to have lunch. But now I’m full.

Let’s chant. Go to the lunch room. Have lunch (The teacher does the action.). Ss: Go to the lunch room. Have lunch. 2.

Use the flash to show the story. T: Ok, kids. This is our school. It’s big and beautiful. How beautiful! Do you like our school? Ss: Yes. We do. T: Excellent! We should love and protect our school. Now let’s go and

visit another school with Mr. Hippo. The Ss watch the flash twice, and then answer the questions: ① How many animals are there in the story? ② Who are they? ③ Do they have a gym? ④ Where is Zoom? ⑤ Where is lunch room? 3.

The Ss read the story after the video. III

Practice 1.

Read the story in roles according to each picture. 2.

Read the story in roles. The T plays Mr. Hippo. The Ss play the monkey, rabbit, Zip and Zoom. Then the Ss practice in groups. 3.

The T acts the story with four Ss. After it, the students practice in groups. 4.

The Ss act out the story with the headwear. IV

Consolidation Make up the new story using the headwear, then ask for one group to act out the story. V

Home work Read the story to your parents or friends. VI
