Students learn some sentence patterns during writing a person they love. 2. Ability aims: Students talk about the person they love. Students are expected to develop their writing skill. Most students are expected to get the ability to write a person they love following the template. 3. Emotion aims: Students get an active attitude to writing. Students develop their awareness of cooperative learning. II. Teaching key point:

Before –writing

Students read the sample article on page11. Paragraph1:

Why do you love him/her? Tell the students: You should think about the following questions:

⑴. Who is the person you love? /Who are you going to write about? He can be someone you care for, respect or love. He can be alive or dead. He can be a family member. He can be a good friend. He can be a teacher or a great person.

⑵.Why do you love that person? He doesn’t have to be famous, but there should be something about him that moves you. ⑶. Give supporting details when you write. 2.

While –writing Tell the students: When you write, you should determine the title of your article first.

Who is the person you love? /Who are you going to write about? You can choose a family member, a good friend, a teacher or a great person to write about. Title _________ Then, determine the structure of your article. We can divide the article into 3parts. Paragraph1: Who is the person?
