4B Unit6 Whose dress is this?

Period 1 Teaching aims：

1.The students will be able to read and recognize the following words: dress, trousers, party, gloves，cousin 2. The students will be able to read and use the following sentences: Whose ... is this? Whose ...are these? It’s...’s/They’re ...’s. 3. the students can understand the story and act the story . The difficulties the key points: 1. The students can read dress, trousers, party, gloves，cousin correctly，and can divide the singular nouns and plural nouns. 2. The students can use “Whose ... is this/that? Whose ...are these/those? It’s/They’re ...’s.” to ask and answer correctly. Teaching aid：pictures，PPT Teaching procedures: Step 1. Preparation 1.Brain storm Show the word “clothes”, let

the students say the word about clothes, such as T-shirt, jacket, skirt…

Then lead the students learn the new word: dress, trousers and gloves. 2.Make a sentence Let the students use “It’s a…/ They’re… to make sentences with the given word. In this way ,the students will be able to divide the singular words and plural words. 3.Memory game Let the students remember the clothes that the characters wear in 10seconds. Then show the students some clothes and let them say “Whose…is this?/Whose…are these?”

Use this way to teach the students the new patterns of this unit. Step 2. Presentation $Practice 1.

Watch and circle Show the students some pictures of fancy dress party. Then let the students watch the cartoon of the first part of the story and let them circle what clothes do they talk about. 2.
