本单元教材重点话题是谈论自己和他人在将来的打算。本单元的话题涉及到个人，家庭,朋友的情感，爱好，工作，话题贴近学生的实际生活，容易引起共鸣，激发学生的学习兴趣。本教材从三年级起就以个人情况信息为中心，如姓名，年龄，性别，爱好，外貌特征等，逐渐推进，反复出现，螺旋上升，以此巩固一般现在时的运用表达，让学生在大量的语言实践中，认识了解掌握一般现在时的特点及用法，如be动词的搭配，第三人称单数的用法，为后面的将来时态中will be a…,will do ..做了很好的铺垫。同时五年级上册出现的句型I want to be a…I

want to do..也为本单元的句型学习做了进一步的铺垫.课文的编排形式也由简单的自我介绍，他人介绍，逐渐以短文的形式出现，进行全方位的描述，给学生提供了很好的听说读写锻炼，表现的空间，可以使不同程度的学生都有提高的可能。

学生已经在三年的学习中多次应用过一般现在时，他们已经具备了一定的语言知识和技能。能够对职业，爱好等进行描述表达，本单元的话题是学生比较感兴趣的，他们会有自己美好未来的憧憬，通过本单元话题的学习和交流讨论，他们会很有兴趣用将来时来描述自己和他人的未来，并能正确认识自己的长短，做进一步的规划，想象未来。学生可能对will be 和will do 不好准确运用，课堂上老师应充分利用板书，通过大量的例句，引导学生发现比较两者的异同点，从而突破本单元的难点。

教学方法与手段

创设真实的语言学习环境，让学生在真实的语境中，看一看，说一说，听一听，猜一猜，观察，思考，总结等学习方法。本单元的知识难点will be 和will do两者的区别，需要老师引导学生通过大量的例句板书的比较，观察，讨论，总结，发现，得出学习规律，从而突破难点。
